Social Media Week

For those of you who work within the world of digital marketing/PR, you will be well aware of what kick’s off on Monday. For those of you who don’t, you might be semi interested to know that it’s Social Media Week (SMW)!

SMW happens twice a year and it basically comprises of thought leaders within the industry educating us ‘social media guru’s in the making‘ about the latest and best ideas, strategies and insights through a series of lectures and seminars.

I shall be attending a few next week, ‘how to get 500,000 YouTube hits in 3 days’ has caught my eye, so I’ll definitely be present for that one and one or two others.

To build some buzz, SMW have released this viral (below). It takes a peak into the future, 2062 to be precise, and features octogenarian hipsters reminiscing about the good old days of social media.
