Jazz Flute Anyone? – Will Ferrell announces ‘Anchorman’ sequel

“I don’t know how to put this…but I’m kind of a big deal”

I think choosing which quote to start this blog post with was near on impossible, but I’m happy with my choice – its a classic after all. If your reading this and wonder what the hell I’m banging on about, I’m referring to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and the news today that they are finally making a sequel.

The 2004 cult film starred Will Ferrell and it was during his in-costume appearance on last night’s Conan O’Brien show that he said “I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the UK – including England – that as of 0900 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman.” You can watch the clip below and in true Burgundy style begins with some outstanding Jazz Flute.

Personally I have been waiting for this film for a long time and only hope that the full cast, including the likes of Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell return for it also. The plot is yet to be revealed but I’m sure its going to be an absolutely massive hit.
You stay classy, San Diego.
